Our Privacy Promise
Your words are yours alone. ProseFlow is built to respect your privacy. We do not collect your writing content, we do not read it, and we never sell your data.
ProseFlow is offline-first by design. Your creative work stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to sync, export, or share it.
What We Collect
We collect only what is needed to operate and improve the product:
- Your email address, when you sign in. Signing in uses a magic link, so an email is required to authenticate you.
- Anonymous usage metrics (page views and a small set of named product events) via PostHog. When you are signed in these events are linked to your account; when you are signed out they are anonymous. Sensitive tokens in URLs are removed before capture.
- If you join the Plus waitlist or send us feedback, those forms are hosted by Tally and the information you enter is processed by Tally on our behalf.
We do not collect:
- Writing content
- Documents
- Drafts
- Notes
Cloud Sync
ProseFlow is offline-first. Your writing lives in local storage on your device. Signing in creates an account so you can return to your work on the same device, but your manuscripts themselves stay on your device and are never read or used for training.
AI Features (Future)
If AI features are introduced in the future, they will be explicitly opt-in and clearly labeled. We will never train on private user content without consent. This reflects intent, not a promise about future implementation details.
Data Control
You can export your data, delete your account, and request deletion of synced data at any time.
